January 2009

The Pacific Ocean family (5 shades) has been added to 'STARS', 'BUDS', 'POPPIES', 'DAISIES' and 'TULIPS'. These ranges all now have 160 shades.

2 new Pacific Ocean shades have been added to 'BLOSSOMS' (322 and 329). The 'BLOSSOMS' range now has 286 shades.

The Burnt Orange family (5 shades) has been added to 'STARS', 'BUDS', 'POPPIES', 'DAISIES' and 'TULIPS'. These ranges all now have 155 shades.

2 new Burnt Orange shades have been added to 'BLOSSOMS' (802 and 809). The 'BLOSSOMS' range now has 284 shades.

CREATIVE EMBROIDERY & CROSS STITCH

  • 'Suzanne Richard's love of the Australian bush and it's many creatures has inspired her to design this stunning scene in crewelwork.' Most of the threads used are Gumnut Yarns stranded silk 'STARS'.

INSPIRATIONS

No. 62

  • 'Simply stunning as either a handbag or elegant cushion' this design from Marg Light combines 'colourful parrots amidst stems of exotic foliage, flowers and berries.' The majority of threads used are Gumnut Yarns crewel wool 'BLOSSOMS', perlé silk 'BUDS' and silk/wool 'POPPIES'.


  • Annette Drysdale has created a damask pillowcase embroidered with 'dusky lavender tied at the base of an oval frame with flowing pink ribbons.' Only Gumnut Yarns stranded silk 'STARS' were used.
